From the National Congress to the European Parliament by foot.
Next 24 May Nicolás Muñoz will arrive at the European Parliament after having walked 1400 kilometres to call for shared custody and children's rights.
In Paris Nicolás will join Antonio Borromeo, an Italian father known as "Papi Gump" for his routes in favour of shared custody. It will be the fifth time that Borromeo set off on the long walk from his home town, Vasto, to Brussels.
At the European Parliament Nicolás will detail the existing obstacles that fathers face in Spain and Europe to enjoy and fulfil their paternity. And also to guarantee and respect the will of a child, just as shared custody benefits.
In Spain, while society's claim raise in order to get a real equal custody of their children, court decisions and legislation do not follow the same path: only 21,3% of divorces and separations award shared custody, although these figures have doubled in the last 4 years.
